Current Status

Bella and Hutch are currently working on the future state forecasting design.

Shaun has begun looking into the best fit forecasting issue in SAP DP by checking SAP APO forums for people that have run into similar issues.

The 5 tests have been completed, and have been verified with Demand Works. We are in the stage of socializing the results. The next test will be a comparison of DP best fit vs. Smoothie best fit.

Future tests:

Demand Works has agreed to provide HMH with a limited time license key for Smoothie SP. This will allow us to do a like to like comparison between a Smoothie generated supply plan (with various parameters set) and the inventory position by month from ERP. I will be using the combined independent and dependent demand file that we have already pulled. I will now need inventory position or level by month by title for the six months (July to Dec 09). I can then perform the comparison. I will not be getting to this immediately, but I wanted to queue up the extract so its ready when I have the time to do it.
