Getting the right advice requires more than just selecting an experienced consulting company, but one that has the desire and orientation to make recommendations that are not entirely based upon pulling billing hours out of your company.

What Makes Us Unique?

How would you design a consulting company if you were looking for the highest value add for clients. While there are differing views, we think a few consistent rules apply:

  1. Deep subject matter expertise: This takes a long time to develop and is what clients want. However to continue to grow our expertise, we need to focus on content and solution design. For this reason we do no project management, no sales force and don’t see ourselves as running a staffing organization as most consulting companies do.
  2. Independence: Without independence, subject matter expertise will not lead to the best advice provided because when bias and external influence exists, subject matter expertise cannot be applied. For this reason we are independent from all vendors and all consulting companies.
  3. Original thinking: Many problems require novel ways of thinking about them. Having been on many projects, we know this is in short supply. Our research basis, combined with our independence gives us the ability to look at problems differently than most.
  4. Not Maximizing Profit: Yes, you read that sentence correctly. Providing advice and expertise is not an area that lends itself to profit maximization. If we had high expenses or were attempting to grow rapidly, we would have to trade-off what is good for our growth versus what is good for out clients. For this reason we do not maximize profit or growth.
Who Can You Trust? 
The IT consulting industry overall has a high number of untrustworthy participants, and its difficult for clients to get a straight story on which way to go. So the question is who do you trust? Research & Client Value

We combine a stronger research capacity than the big firms with actual objectivity and a focus on making the decisions that provide the highest business value for our clients. Another area where are a different is that because we are small compared to the number of opportunities we are contacted on, we no need to attempt to extend our time on a project beyond that time that we are adding value. We are not attempting to train up inexperienced resources on your dime, but rather use experienced resources to get to the bottom of you questions and resolve them as quickly as possible.
